Mitchell Daniel is an artist based in Columbus, OH dedicated pushing genre boundaries and creating compelling new music. A student at Bowling Green State University, Mitchell is pursuing studies in both Composition and Audio Engineering.
A prolific multi-instrumentalist and multi-disciplinarian, Mitchell is as the cutting edge of multiple fields. He has a dedication to creating compelling compositions, live performances and recordings. As a performer, his specialties are highly diverse. He is not only a highly competent classical saxophonist, but also an experienced guitarist, bassist, drummer, and Dobro player.
Mitchell is an experienced recording engineer, with multiple solo albums and EPs. He also has experience recording groups of many genres, including rock, classical, bluegrass, and hardcore.

Let’s All Move To Mobile is a lyrical, liminal, and rhythmically diverse piece. The piece is focused around contrasting melodic and rhythmically dominated sections with contrasting intense and sweet moods. These sections move by almost suspended in time, existing only within themselves, while still having forward motion and continuity. Machine Men is a piece written in response to the U.S attacks on Iran in early 2026 that started the U.S-Iranian war. Based around a sampled speech given by Charlie Chaplin in ‘The Great Dictator’, the piece has three distinct sections building in intensity. The Soprano saxophone, being modified with electronics, utilizes extended techniques as well as traditional playing to express the dissatisfaction of many people in the U.S with the forever war policies of the 21st century. ich will ihr nicht stören is a very lyrical and beautiful piece inspired by a german poem about a night watchman longing for a lost love. While very consonant and tonal, there are moments of harsh dissonance and atonality that represent the heartbreak felt by the watchman as he recalls memories of his far away love.
Inspired by Celtic and pagan traditions, Spiral Walk has a hypnotic melody that leads the listener through a ritual walk. Short and based around repetition, the piece is a moment in time giving a glimpse into the rituals of a Celtic tribe.
Inspired by classical, jazz, and progressive rock, this piece is meant to blend different sounds of the saxophone through one continuous idea. (Individual parts available by Email request at no additional cost)
